What are credits?
Credits are the universal currency for using PolicyKeeper's AI features. Each AI query costs 1 credit (or 5 for GPT-4), and document uploads cost 2 credits. Free accounts get 50 credits per month.
Do credits expire?
No! Purchased credits never expire. Subscription credits roll over month-to-month (up to 2x your monthly allowance). Free tier credits reset on the 1st of each month.
Can I use both credits and subscriptions?
Yes! You can buy credit packs anytime, even with a subscription. Purchased credits are used after your subscription and free credits are depleted.
What happens when I run out of credits?
You'll see a friendly prompt to purchase more credits or upgrade your subscription. Your documents and data remain safe — you just can't make new AI queries until you add credits.
Is there a free tier?
Yes! Every account gets 50 free credits per month, 10 documents, and 2 users. No credit card required to get started.
How large can documents be?
Each document can be up to 25 MB — roughly 1,000 pages per PDF. Professional plans support up to 6,000 pages total.
Is my data secure?
Absolutely. Your documents are encrypted at rest and in transit. Your data is completely isolated and never accessible to other companies or used to train AI models.
